Lexy Papariello is a staff scientist working under Stephanie Page in the imaging development department. Her role involves training students and staff on the new Nikon AXR microscope and helping troubleshoot problems on other microscopes. Lexy is a Virginia Beach native who double-majored in marine science and biology at the University of Miami and then received her PhD in pharmacology and toxicology with a concentration in neuropharmacology from East Carolina University. Her graduate work focused on elucidating endocannabinoid-mediated mechanisms of synapse regulation in the context of autism spectrum disorder using an iPSC-derived cortical spheroid model of fetal neurodevelopment.
