Karen Robinson is an experienced science communicator who began her career as a journalist in Baltimore. She left journalism for the field of public relations in 2008 when she joined the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s communications team. Karen later became assistant director of media relations for the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has handled communications for Johns Hopkins Medicine International and served as a senior account executive for nonprofit and education clients at a small public relations agency in Baltimore. Karen holds a master’s of public administration from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s in English from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
