About

Manisha Barse is currently working as a Research Assistant in the Data Science team led by Leonardo Collado-Torres at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development. Her work focuses on learning and building computational pipelines for spatial transcriptomics, with the goal of advancing research in neurobiology. Manisha also holds dual Master’s degrees in Bioinformatics and Materials Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, where she focused on bioinformatics analyses, particularly with protein structure prediction, scRNA-seq, and scATAC-seq data. Prior to that, Manisha completed her M.Tech in VLSI Design from ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, and a B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her interest lies in computational biology, bioinformatics, and data science, with a focus on advancing research through innovative data-driven solutions.
