Felix Siewe joined the Lieber Institute in June 2025 as a Research Assistant. He is involved in projects focused on characterizing the neuroanatomical and cellular changes in the Habenula following chronic opioid use. Prior to joining the Lieber Institute, Felix worked in Dr. Rachel Brewster's lab at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County's Biological Sciences department where he conducted molecular assays to study the cellular and molecular adaptations to severe hypoxia in zebrafish embryo models. Felix earned his B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
