Ricardo de Souza Jacomini is a Postdoctoral Fellow who holds several degrees. He first started with a B.S. degree in Mathematics at the Fundação Santo André and later earned his M.Sc. degree in Information Engineering at the Federal University of ABC and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering at the University of São Paulo. In 2014 and 2015, he received the Academic Excellence Awards, one of which was awarded at the Brazilian Symposium of Computing Systems Engineering and another for best Doctoral work at Escola Politécnica of Universidade de São Paulo (USP). At the Lieber Institute, Dr. Jacomini is a postdoctoral fellow with a significant interest in machine learning and computational biology. He is currently working with deep neural networks to investigate the molecular mechanisms of brain development and brain disorders.
