Kayla joined the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenetics Lab as a Research Assistant working with PI Dr. Kristi Bigos in 2017. This lab uses functional neuroimaging and pharmacogenetics to identify and evaluate novel drug targets for psychiatric medications. Kayla has a B.S. in chemistry from Keene State College in New Hampshire. As an undergraduate, Kayla worked in the NeuroLab at Keene State College studying language prosody in adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder using an iPad assisted training program. Her research interests lie in understanding pharmacological treatment of psychiatric disorders.
