John Cotoia is a Site Coordinator in the Clinical and Neuropathology Division at the Lieber Institute. Working with Dr. Thomas Hyde, John manages the California LIBD satellite where he consents, collects, processes, and curates postmortem human brain donations. He is interested in social determinants for health and the effects of obstetrical complications on the predisposed genetic factors of mental illness. John graduated with a ScM in Medicine from Brown University in 2018 and a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Johns Hopkins University in 2015.
