Alisha Kardian is a Research Assistant in the division of Brain Development, studying the transcriptional regulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and how changes in this regulation affect gene expression, cellular morphology, and complex behavior. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Previously she served as an intern at the Lieber Institute.
