Rae’e joined Lieber as a Research Technician in the Neuropathology division working under Dr. Ran Tao. Rae’e graduated with a B.A. in Biology with specialty in Neurobiology and a minor in Philosophy from Boston University in 2012. While there, Rae’e performed Alzheimer research in the laboratory of Dr. Carmela Abraham, focusing on the protein Klotho and its connection to Amyloid Beta plaques. After graduating, Rae’e went on to work as a research technician for 3 years in the genetics laboratory of Dr. David Sweetser at Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on the genes TLE3 and TLE4 and their relationship to Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
