Senator Ben Cardin stopped by the Lieber Institute (LIBD) on Friday, April 26th, to learn more about the work we are doing to better understand the human brain. The Senator took a tour of the Institute, which included a scientific demonstration in the lab. He joined LIBD CEO and Director, Dr. Daniel R. Weinberger and several senior staff members to discuss recent breakthroughs in medical research, discovery of groundbreaking potential treatments, and the federal role in fostering innovation and cures.
