Dr. Weinberg and Dr. Shin traveled to Asia last month, making several stops along the way to meet with leading experts in the field. In Seoul, they met with representatives at Seoul National University Hospital including Dr. Seo, the CEO of Macrogen and the Director of the Genome Medicine Institute. From Seoul they traveled to Beijing to meet with Hao Yang Tan and our collaborators at Peking University, where Dr. Weinberger gave a keynote speech. During their final stop in Singapore, Dr. Weinberger gave a presentation as part of the DukeNUS Medical School’s Signature Speaker Series. Dr.’s Weinberger & Shin also visited the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) before returning to the Lieber Institute!
The Lieber Institute will continue exploring collaborative efforts around the globe in order to build research networks and partnerships that accelerate scientific discovery.
