Congressman Chris Van Hollen joined the Lieber Institute staff to learn more about the work we are doing to better understand the human brain. The Congressman took a tour of our offices, including a lab demonstration and a stop in the drug discovery lab. He also joined Lieber CEO and Director, Dr. Daniel R. Weinberger, as well as other senior staff members, to discuss recent breakthroughs in medical research, discovery of groundbreaking potential treatments and the federal role in fostering innovation and cures. It was both an educational and enjoyable visit, and we’d like to thank Congressman Van Hollen for his time here at the Lieber Institute!
